About this course
This course equips direct care workers, youth counselors, educators, and staff with the knowledge and practical skills to identify, prevent, and respond effectively to all forms of bullying—including cyberbullying—in youth settings. Learners will explore definitions, types, risk factors, warning signs, impacts, intervention strategies, prevention approaches, legal responsibilities, and best practices for supporting both victims and those who bully.

- Define bullying and explain its core characteristics: repetition, intent, and power imbalance
- Identify and distinguish between the six main types of bullying
- Recognize patterns and prevalence of bullying across age groups
- Describe risk factors and warning signs for victims and perpetrators
- Explain unique features and impacts of cyberbullying
- Assess emotional, psychological, and academic effects of bullying
- Apply intervention strategies to support victims and address those who bully
