About this course
This course equips employees and supervisors with the knowledge and practical skills to identify, prevent, and respond to workplace violence. Learners will explore types of workplace violence, risk factors, warning signs, prevention strategies, response protocols, and resources for support. Special attention is given to high-risk environments such as healthcare and social services, as well as digital harassment in remote work settings.

- Define workplace violence and identify its various forms, including physical, verbal, nonverbal, and digital harassment
- Recognize common risk factors, high-risk environments, and populations vulnerable to workplace violence
- Identify warning signs and behavioral indicators of potential violence

- Apply de-escalation techniques and immediate response actions during violent incidents, including violent intruder scenarios
- Differentiate between cover and concealment in emergency situations
