About this course
This course introduces learners to the concept of Quality of Life and how it relates to person-centered thinking in the support of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Participants will explore how the idea of quality of life varies from person to person and learn how to identify what is important to and important for each individual they support. The course emphasizes empathy, individualized planning, and promoting meaningful, balanced lives rooted in dignity, happiness, and well-being.
