Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Identify the differences between an individual-directed and a program-centered approach to providing supports
- Demonstrate methods to effectively listen to and understand what the individual wants, needs and desires
- Define self-advocacy and describe ways to promote it in the people you support
- Define what "individual-directed" means
- Identify the four major elements, or parts, of the Individual Plan
- Identify the difference bewteen outcomes and goals
- Identify the parts of the implementation cycle
