About this course
This course gives Direct Support Professionals and caregivers a working understanding of anxiety disorders: the major types — generalised anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias and obsessive-compulsive and related conditions — how they present, what causes and sustains them, and the treatments that help. Particular attention is paid to recognising anxiety in people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, where it is often expressed behaviourally rather than described in words, and to the day-to-day supports that reduce it.
ATTENTION: Training and eTracking Solutions, LLC is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0234.
