About this course
Personal care skills for home health aides working in clients' homes. Learn to follow the RN's written care instructions and help clients do as much as they can for themselves while you assist with bathing (tub, shower, bed bath, and sponge bath), shampooing in the sink, tub, or bed, skin, nail, and foot care, oral hygiene and denture care, dressing and grooming, toileting and incontinence care, and mealtimes. Covers hand hygiene and gloves, privacy with family in the home, the limits of helping with medicines, and what to report to your RN supervisor and document on your visit note.
