About this course
This course equips direct support professionals, caregivers, and staff with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to prevent foodborne illness. Learners will explore the causes and symptoms of foodborne illness, identify at-risk populations, and master the four core rules of food safety: Clean, Separate, Cook, and Chill. The course covers safe food handling, preparation, storage, purchasing, and response procedures, with a focus on protecting vulnerable individuals in care and community settings.
