West Virginia — BMS IDDW DSP Training
Tracks the direct care staff training requirements of West Virginia's IDD Waiver, BMS Provider Manual Chapter 513 (effective 8/1/2026): initial and annual competency trainings with 80% post-tests, plus at-hire crisis, PBS overview, CPR/First Aid, and AMAP medication certification. One-time, facilitated 3-hour Positive Behavior Support Overview from the WV Association for Positive Behavior Support, or the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities equivalent (Ch. 513). Upload the completion certificate.
CPR and First Aid certification at hire from a certifying organization on the state-approved list; the hands-on skills component cannot be replaced by online coursework. Maintain a current card — renewal per the certifying body's cycle (typically two years).
Approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP) certification via the OHFLAC-administered state curriculum (W. Va. Code 16-5O; 64CSR60), taught by OHFLAC-approved agency RN trainers, with recertification every 2 years. Upload the AMAP certificate.
