About this course
This course introduces learners to the rights and protections of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), emphasizing the Direct Support Professional’s (DSP) vital role in upholding dignity, autonomy, and safety. Participants will explore the legal and ethical foundations of human rights, the responsibilities that accompany those rights, and the steps required to recognize and report abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
