South Carolina — DDSN/BHDD DSP Training
Tracks South Carolina's direct support staff training mandate under DDSN Directive 567-01-DD (orientation/pre-service competency topics verified by written tests and skills checks, plus 10 hours per year of additional job-related training), 567-04-DD crisis certification, and 603-13-DD medication technician certification. Built for DSPs serving people with intellectual and related disabilities; follows the state's own directives, which give providers wide latitude to use or embellish the minimum outline. Note: DDSN merged into the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (Act 3 of 2025, effective 4/28/25) — the directives remain in force under the new Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities during the transition.
