About this course
This course introduces learners to the general characteristics and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on understanding, empathy, and effective support. Participants will explore the definition of developmental disabilities and gain deeper insight into four common conditions—intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and autism spectrum disorder. The course emphasizes practical approaches for supporting individuals based on their unique needs, guided by principles such as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
