The handbook requires direct service providers to hold a valid certificate at all times and notes that issuing organizations certify for varying lengths; this row renews yearly so the certificate never lapses unnoticed (Handbook Appendix B, Table 1; Rule 65G-2.008(7)(d), F.A.C., for licensed facilities).
First Aid from a certifying body the handbook names (American Health and Safety Institute, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, EMS Safety Services, Emergency Care and Safety Institute, National Safety Council) within 90 days of providing services; a valid certificate must be held at all times. Cards are commonly two-year. Upload the card.
CPR from a certifying body the handbook names, completed in a classroom (the handbook states the web-based course will not be accepted for CPR), within 90 days of providing services; a valid certificate must be held at all times. Rule 65G-2.008(7)(c), F.A.C., adds for licensed facilities that online courses are not acceptable and one CPR-certified provider must always be on site. Upload the card.
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act training within 30 days of providing services and annually thereafter (Handbook Appendix B, Table 1: web-based, annually).
