About this course
This course introduces learners to the purpose, types, and proper use of Adaptive Equipment in supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Participants will learn how adaptive devices promote independence and safety in activities of daily living while reviewing the standards and procedures established by the Department of Disabilities Services (DDS) and the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). The course emphasizes compliance with agency protocols for equipment procurement, maintenance, and repair to ensure the health and well-being of every individual served.
