About this course
This course provides Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with essential knowledge and skills to ensure the health and safety of the individuals they support. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of illness, respond to changes in health status, and advocate effectively for proper medical care—especially for individuals who may have difficulty communicating their needs. The course also introduces key healthcare documentation tools, such as Behavioral Support Plans, Health Management Care Plans, and Health Passports, to promote coordinated and person-centered healthcare.
